My name is Suji and I have been a lover of veggie food (or simply a “greedy chops” as my family might say!) ever since I can remember. My early memories of plates of yumminess come from my maternal grandmother and mother, and this blog is also an homage to them. My Amma (Mum) and my Paati (Grandma) have been my first kitchen idols and their inspiration have driven me & my sister to cook, bake and live healthily.
I’m an Indo Srilankan by origin and brought up in the U.K. So my food and taste is also influenced by my upbringing. I try and cook veggie food from around the world but I always end up making them with an Indian strand and savoury dishes are often made with spices of some kind. What can I say? Spice in my genes! 🙂
I’m looking forward to sharing anything food related with you all…recipes, health, food on my travels, restaurants and much more. How many people are truthful about the recipe disasters as well as their recipe successes? I definitely want to share what recipes & food work and don’t work for me and I look forward to sharing these trials and tribulations with all of you!
My life adventures can be fun, disastrous, exciting, delicious etc., and My Kitchen Adventures are no different! Do come and join the ride!
